5 Steps to Quickly Setup a Hookah | Setup Hookah With Foil

If you have just purchased your first hookah pipe, you may be wondering how to set up hookah for the first time. Hookah can be prepared in a few different ways, but the basic steps remain the same regardless of which method you choose to use. The Heat Management System can be used to prepare hookahs both with regular aluminum foil as well as with the Heat Management System. It is going to be a tutorial on how to make a hookah set up with aluminum foil, and we will be demonstrating how to do it.

5 Easy Steps to Set up Hookah for Beginners

1. Fill the Base

It is important to separate the stem from the glass base and fill the base with cold water. Some hookah set ups come with stems that have screws that fix them to the base, while others come with stems that are connected by a rubber grommet that has to be separated by twisting and pulling to release them.

Reattach your stem only after it has been submerged in water for 1 - 1.5 inches. If you don’t add enough water, the smoke won’t be filtered. However, if there is too much of the water, it will be difficult to get into it. Connect the stem to the glass base and light three coals on your electric burner.

2. Join the stem to the glass base and place coals

Don't forget to tighten it up if it doesn't fit properly. Next, you will need to attach the hose to the hookah through the hose port on the hookah. Top the stem with the tray. Also, there is no need to use quick lighting coals for the purpose of smoking, since they give off an unpleasant odor when burned. Natural hookah charcoal is recommended for the best results. You should use a hookah tong to place the coal on the shisha head.

3. Adding Hookah Tobacco

You can get the air flowing by scooping some hookah tobacco into a bowl and making a funnel the width of a pencil in the middle.

The amount of tobacco you need for your bowl will vary based on its size. As the leaf veins on the tobacco might produce a disgusting odor when burned, it is advisable to remove them from the tobacco leaves. A good rule of thumb is to pack the tobacco gently two or three millimeters under the edge of the bowl to prevent it from pressing against the foil. In the meantime, you should try to pack it as fluffy as you can so that there is as much air flow through it as possible.

4. Preparing the Foil

The foil should be prepared and the coals should be checked. We are now going to prepare the foil so that the foil can be wrapped over the bowl in the next step. Using a piece of foil, you will need to tear it off and fold it twice before you can use it. If you want, you can wrap foil around the top of the bowl and use a poker to make small holes around the bowl’s top in the shape of a cylinder. You should attach your hookah bowl to the stem as soon as you have finished it, and make sure that you use a rubber grommet to ensure that the top of the bowl sits airtight once you have attached it to the stem.

Once the hookah straws are red-hot, use hookah tongs to position them around the edge of the bowl as soon as they are red-hot. There is a good idea to place the coal evenly around the top of the bowl so as to prevent heat from being distributed unevenly, and this will greatly speed up the heating as well as the burning of the tobacco.

5. Allow Coals to Warm Up

Before you begin smoking, let the coals warm up the bowl for a couple of minutes so that they are Ready to burn. It is very important to keep adding red-hot coals to the hookah throughout the smoking session in order to keep it going.
